Ride The West Horse Expo in Spokane, Washington, May 2006. This was a
three day event. Friday night was costumed. Saturday and Sunday were
casual. All three demos were very short. We had the length of a song to
show off our horses. Friday night in costume we decided to perform a drill. Although there was no place to warm up or practice, we had about three hours to discuss it and play it out on a short piece of pavement. We were next to last in line to perform!! We also had one of the worst thundershowers of the season. It was a long night for everyone, but we had a blast and awed the crowd once again. Saturday and Sunday we simply did loops and our own thing, showing off what each horse does best. We were also closer to the beginning of the demo. All in all, we had a great time and met many new people who admired our breed. It is also great to get together with old friends too. Next year we get a longer time slot, so get your thinking caps on and lets give them a show!! |
